Future of Libraries

This excellent article by the DaVinci Institute talks about the changing and varied ways we access information and communicate with each other. It seems language will become more important as verbal communication replaces text . One expert even predicts by 2050 we will be "illiterate". I found that a truly scary scenerio-On the other hand we will have access to the world in ways we've never imagined. The Librarian that can stay on top of the tidal wave of technology will be more needed than ever I would imagine. www.davinciinstitute.com/page.php?ID=120

TMI?

Loved author Nicholas Carr's article on the implications of technology to influence not only what we think, but how we think. http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200807/google
